HALO ACCESS

Funders and partners

HALO ACCESS is a research concept in development. It is not a built or approved medical device. It has not been reviewed or cleared by FDA.

What it is and who it helps

HALO ACCESS is a proposed non-invasive way to send a small set of communication commands. It is for a person who cannot speak, and for a family that cannot talk with a loved one who is nonverbal. No one can use it outside a future consented study.

What Phase I would test

  • Healthy adult volunteers, with consent.
  • An 11-command set.
  • An accuracy goal of at least 60% correct across all commands.

These are study goals, not results. No prototype data exists yet. YES and the safety commands need a confirmation step, so the system does not decide for the person.

What we are seeking

  • SBIR/STTR funding.
  • A clinical or academic BCI advisor.
  • Pilot clinic partners.

Entity

  • Legal entity: Picassomoesllc
  • UEI: GMPKC2GZYCC2
  • SAM.gov: Active
  • Hillsborough, North Carolina
