Research focus

HALO ACCESS: a proposed non-invasive EEG intent-communication research system. The research target is 11 deliberately trained communication commands, with a no-command rejection state and human control over actions. Proposed commands: YES, NO, HELP, STOP, I'M OK, COME HERE, WATER, PAIN, REPOSITION, CANCEL and GO.

Current capabilities

• Software prototypes and documented public-source evidence workflows.
• Requirements, system architecture, safety boundaries and staged evaluation plans.
• Problem triage and funding-call review with human approval gates.

Current maturity and evidence

Concept and software preparation. Hardware, communication accuracy, clinical benefit and independent performance results are not established. No government award, clinical partner, accessibility certification or approved medical device is represented.

Proposed evaluation

Establish a small-command baseline, then evaluate all 11 target commands using held-out sessions. Report the confusion matrix, false activations during no-command periods, latency, rejected trials, setup time, comfort and failures. Participant work requires appropriate safety, consent and ethics review.

Partnership and funding request

Seeking a clinic, AAC organization, speech-language professional or EEG research collaborator for study design, independent technical review and a potential letter of support. Seeking staged feasibility funding for a prototype and measured evaluation.
