FAQ and safety

HALO ACCESS is a concept in development. These answers are the current public limits.

Is HALO a medical device?

No, not yet. HALO ACCESS is a research concept. It has not been reviewed or cleared by FDA. It is not a built or approved medical device.

Who can use it now?

No one outside research. Phase I would involve healthy adult volunteers with consent. There is no patient use today.

How does a command count?

YES and the safety commands need a confirmation step, so HALO never decides for the patient. On the public simulation, YES, HELP, STOP, PAIN, REPOSITION, CANCEL and GO wait for a confirm. STOP and CANCEL on this site are labels only. They are not a safety-rated stop.

What about false alarms?

A false alarm would be a command counted when the person did not mean it. The confirmation step keeps a stray signal from becoming a decision. A proposed study target is fewer than 1 false activation per hour of rest. That is a target, not a result. No prototype data exists yet.

What data is collected and how is it protected?

Only what is needed, consented and secured. The study protocol will set the details. Do not send health information through the public forms. A build-list signup stores an email and an optional role for up to 90 days.

Can I volunteer or partner?

You cannot volunteer for patient use. Phase I would enroll healthy adult volunteers with consent, and that call is not open. To partner, use Work With Us or the contact form.

Is PMO Robotics a government site?

No. PMO Robotics is privately operated and is not a government agency or official government platform. Picassomoesllc operates the lab. It is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any government agency. Government records support research. Official submissions go through the responsible agency.
