- Prototype buildLock the requirements, print the frames, build or buy the EEG boards and assemble 2 units. Months 1 to 3.
- Bench testCheck noise, electrode contact, isolation, battery and data integrity on both units. Months 3 to 5.
- Small internal pilotTest a small set of trained commands with consenting internal volunteers under the safeguards below. Report accuracy, latency, false activations, comfort and setup time, failures included. Months 5 to 7, or later if the review step takes longer.

- Two off-the-shelf 8-channel EEG boards based on the TI ADS1299 front end.
- Dry and wet electrodes, paste and gel.
- 3D-printed frames and enclosures, batteries and wireless.
- Basic test equipment for safe bench measurements.
- Engineering, training software and validation time.
- Participant safeguards, accessibility review and data-governance controls.
